  1. Good stuff. I have been hooking up 2 microphones for the past two years. One of the being wireless the other not. But when my wireless went out. During the preparations of the toast. It was a flawless switch.

  2. Use all black cables for all your power, DMX and extension cords. Looks much more professional and clutter free. Watch the loudness of the music throughout the event. A mixer is a great backup with an iPad and have all music synced in case controller fails. Plus you get more inputs if needed for additional microphones or special effects pad. Don't over do it with lights. I see over and over again tons of lights on a truss and just seems chaotic. Less is more in my opinion to get the full effect of moving heads or a laser at the ceiling, etc.
