  1. Hey love your videos man, I'll be getting a Nikon D7100 soon, upgrading from the D3200. You think you could do a video on the time lapsing feature on the D7100 ? I plan on doing some nighttime sky time lapsing video and pictures

  2. On my previous Nikon D5300, I could browse images using the wheel, along with the navipad, in the playback view. And this seemed to be practical sometimes However, on my Nikon 7100 this option does not seem to be the default setting. How can I get the camera to use the back wheel for browsing the images?

  3. Gee…why nobody talks of noise issue with D 7100. Along with D800…they are simply cameras which generates lots of noise, espec. D7100 in otherwise noiseless circumstances even while set on lower ASA values. Sometimes even lower than 400ASA

  4. Your info is right on but you are rather hard to understand. I thought it was only me but that's not the case. I have asked others to check out your Information and the consensus is you have a cold. I don't think so!>>>> In the future could you enunciate your words and slow down a wee bit? THX!

  5. I just cna't listen to this lifeless diction….totally killed my attention and just made me sleepy and bored…I wasn't even aware that I had taken my guitar and started playing….you sholdn't do reviews….you shouldn't even talk to people like that….ever.

  6. so what would you recommend, Fuji xt1, xpro1, now selling for 740 usd  or Nikon 7100?  also about same price I believe.  I have been trying to get educated here on youtube but now I find that I can't make up mind with all these diverse opinions, etc.  have not been taking photos since my Yeshika 1000, which at one point I pried open to clean it of all the dust and sand and then gave up and threw/gave it away.  memories… thanks.

  7. Just want to take a moment and thank you for inspiring me to pick up a D7100. I upgraded from a D5200 and boy what a difference! I totally love this camera. 90% of my shooting are landscape and still subjects. This is a weapon of choice. Thanks again Ken!

  8. In Aperture priority mode on my Nikon 7100, the rear wheel steers the ISO, and the front wheel the aperture. but I would prefer to operate both options vice versa. Is it possible to change this setting ?

  9. OK I think I have a question that just might stump you… MAYBE… I need to buy you a six pack at this point lol I am trying to shoot photos and video's from the D7100, switching back and forth between the two very often. However, the D7100 only shoots video in 60FPS in the 1.3 crop mode. So when I switch back to taking photos and change it to the regular APSC crop (which i've assigned a custom button for), it defaults back to 30FPS. I've tried changing a custom user profile between the U1 & U2 settings but they still default back to 30FPS. Which means each time I want to quickly take a video, I have to go into the settings menu and manually change it. Is there a way to set a custom button, like the FN to switch to 60FPS when I'm in the designated crop mode? THANK YOU!

  10. I just picked up one of these today for $250 brand new. I could not pass it up. My wife might be a little pissed doe… 🙂 Love your vids by the way! I have had a D3300 for about 7 months.

  11. Ok, so, I FINALLY recieved it from UPS, bought it online at BestBuy. Anyways, I started looking through the settings and stuff… I just gotta say, WOW!! I thought there were a bunch of settings on my Nikon D3300, but NOPE, no so! Haha. I feel like I am going to have a HUGE learning curve to be able to use my 7100 to it's fullest potential. But, WOW! I am VERY impressed! I was hoping you had some videos for this! Love your videos and I knew I needed to watch some videos about this!

  12. That button on front of camera when I press it the front back dial does not do anything what am I doing wrong ?
You talk and go so fast missing things . Slow down to catch stuff

  13. Sir, I really appreciate the time to take and shoot your very informative, funny video's. I'm very much a fan since Friday so still a "noob" viewer. I own a Nikon D7100, so your video on how good a camera it is, was sweet music to my ears btw. Now in this video at the beginning where you give advice on the SD card slots, I'm very much with you on the importance of backup, especially as I work in data centres. But with my Nikon D7100 I chose the option of capturing RAW to slot 1 and JPEG to slot 2.. which did get me out of the sh1t on one occasion as all my photo's came out "black" and I was able to then grab the RAW file SD and in Photoshop recover my images.. so I'd personally recommend shooting RAW to slot 1 and JPEG to slot 2.. which gives you the benefit of 2 file formats, while also being a backup at the same time.. Just my thoughts.. I'm now looking forward to watching more of your video's and advice. Thanks from the UK Ken!!

  14. Dude can you give me any idea how can i clean the grip of my D7100? It looks so dull & whitish, the rubber part has lost all of its shinyness? How can I restore that? One of my friends told me to use shoe shiner. How stupid is that!
